Betty Wright passed on Mother's Day at the age of 66

Songs like "Clean Up Woman" and "Tonight is the Night" are two of my go-to songs during my live shows which were originated by none other than Bessie Regina Norris, better known by her stage name Betty Wright. Her vocal range was remarkable and her subject matter proved valid throughout the generations. She was nominated for 6 Grammy's and won one for best R&B song in 1975 for "Where Is the Love." She passed away on Mother's day at the age of 66, her family made the announcement on Instagram by posting these words
