Aretha Franklin's family wants Respect

Aretha Franklin aka "Queen of Soul," legacy still lives on after her passing in 2018, with movies and series to remember her career in the music industry. Her family isn't too pleased about the upcoming 8 episode series “Genius: Aretha,” on National Geographic. Cynthia Erivo will play the "Queen of Soul" in the series. The family is pushing for the movie "Respect' that will star Jennifer Hudson, after her youngest son Kecalf Cunningham said the family didn't want the project "Genius: Aretha" on National Geographic, because producers “pushed through without our consent."
