Rocsi Diaz, Terrence J & AJ Calloway Talk 106 & Park Reunion At BET Awards

BET is preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its timeless series "106 & Park," and the original hosts are giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the festivities.

On Thursday morning, May 8, Rocsi Diaz, Terrence J and A.J. Calloway pulled up to The Breakfast Club and spoke about BET's plans to pay tribute to the iconic music video countdown. The OG hosts — including Marie "Free" Wright, Julissa Bermudez, Big Tigger, Keshia Chanté — will reunite on stage at the 2025 BET Awards next month alongside a slew of performers like Mr. 106 & Park himself Bow Wow, Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mýa, T.I., and more.

"It's gonna be special. It's gonna be beautiful," Terrence J said. "We are celebrating 25 years of this landmark show, BET's '106 & Park.' We have a lot of surprises. There are going to be a lot of special announcements, and it'll be the first time all of the hosts will be back on stage together. It's going to be a beautiful reunion, and we're so humbled and appreciative of this time in our lives. to be able to celebrate this together is amazing."

BET debuted "106 & Park" on September 11, 2000 at their original studios in East Harlem, New York at East 106th Street and Park Avenue. A.J. & Free were the original hosts from 200 to 2005. Julissa and Big Tigger took over for a year before Terrence J & Rocsi were named the new hosts in 2006. They held it down together for six years. In 2012, BET recruited Bow Wow to host, along with three other co-hosts Jordan "Shorty da Prince" Johnson, Kimberly "Paigion" Walker, and Mykel "Miss Mykie" Gray. It was the first time the show had four hosts.

Bow Wow and Keshia Chanté were named the permanent hosts in 2013. They served as the hosts until "106 & Park" was cancelled in December 2014. In the years since its demise, BET has brought back the program for special occasions. However, earlier this year, BET President and CEO Scott Mills revealed the network's intention to revive the show in the digital era.
