Nelly and Ashanti are preparing to let fans into their world for the first time since they reunited, and they're giving us a sneak peek before their new reality show debuts this week.
The beloved couple stopped by The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, June 25, to discuss their new series "Nelly & Ashanti: We Long Together." During the conversation, both artists recalled how they reunited 10 years after they broke up at Fat Joe and Ja Rule's Verzuz in 2021. Nelly said he knew Ashanti was going to be there, but he wasn't checking on her, especially since he brought another girl with him.
Nelly and Ashanti reunited in 2022 but didn't go public until 2023. Several months later, the couple found out they were expecting their first child and got married in the same month. Despite rumors that circulated on social media, the St. Louis native and the Long Island songstress did everything possible to keep the progression of their relationship under wraps until they revealed the amazing news themselves. Ashanti announced her pregnancy last April and gave birth to the couple's son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, three months later.
The "Body On Me" artists' new reality series will finally share the juicy details about their decades-long relationship from their on-and-off run from 2003 to 2013 to their new lives as a married couple. During their discussion with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious, Nelly and Ashanti talk about the show, spinning the block, their marriage, and more.
"Nelly & Ashanti: We Long Together" is set to air exclusively on Peacock this Thursday, June 26. Watch The Breakfast Club's interview with the power couple below.
