Lionel Richie delivered "We are the World' remake

Last night on American Idol not only was Just Sam declared the winner but Lionel Richie delivered a pre-recorded performance of the classic anthem "We Are the World," which he co-wrote with the late great Micheal Jackson. It marked the first time the monumental song was performed on television since 1985, the same year the song came out. The song is 35 years old this year and still needs to be adhered to today. Richie was not alone for the performance, accompanying him were co judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryant, as well as Idol all starts Rubben Studdard, Fantasia, Phillip Phillips and more.
